Nothing heats at all
On electric that is usually the bake element or the thermal fuse. On gas it is more often the igniter, which weakens for months before it finally stops lighting the burner.
Baking and roasting · Georgetown, Texas
An oven that reads 350 and bakes like 275 ruins dinner just as thoroughly as one that will not switch on. Wall ovens, ranges, gas and electric, all of it is work we do in the house.

Symptoms
Most of what we are called out for falls into these six. Tell us which one sounds like yours and the right part comes along.
On electric that is usually the bake element or the thermal fuse. On gas it is more often the igniter, which weakens for months before it finally stops lighting the burner.
The sensor drifts with age and the board reads whatever it is told. A fifty-degree gap is the classic sign and it is a straightforward part to change.
Self-clean cycles cook the latch mechanism and sometimes the thermal fuse with it. Both are common and neither means the oven is finished.
The two elements run on circuits of their own, so losing one while the other carries on points straight at the dead element or the relay feeding it.
Gas ovens cut the valve when the flame sensor stops confirming a flame. A tired igniter that glows but never draws enough current does exactly this.
Touch panels and control boards fail, and so do the ribbon connections behind them. We check the cheap things before condemning the expensive one.
Why Georgetown calls us
Ovens are the appliance people most often get quoted a board replacement for when something far cheaper is actually at fault. Here is how we work instead.
The technician diagnoses the fault, tells you what the repair costs and waits for your yes. Nothing is added to that number at the end of the visit.
You get a day and an arrival window when you book, not a vague promise about this week. If the job before yours runs long, the phone rings before your window closes.
Labor and the parts we install carry a warranty. What it runs to, and the few things it does not, are set out on the warranty page in plain language.
Everything had been coming out underdone for months and I had started adding twenty minutes to every recipe. He put a thermometer in, found the sensor was reading sixty degrees high, and replaced it that afternoon.

Ran the self-clean before Thanksgiving and the door locked itself shut. He had it open and the latch replaced the next morning, which saved the entire holiday.

Service area
We work Georgetown and nothing beyond the city line, which is the whole point. A short drive means a tighter arrival window and a technician who knows whether your street is on well water or city supply before he pulls up.
ZIP codes we cover
Most Georgetown addresses sit in one of those three. Do not see your ZIP on the list? Call us anyway. The city line and the ZIP lines do not agree everywhere, and your street may well still be ours.
Questions
Nearly always. Most of what fails is reachable from the front or through the rear panel once the unit slides forward a little. We only take cabinetry apart if there is no other way in, and we ask first.
Not as a rule. Igniters and gas valves sit in a similar range to elements and sensors. What moves the price is which part failed, not what the oven burns.
An element or igniter on the way out still does its job, only slower. Preheat times creeping up month by month are the warning before it quits for good.
Yes. They are two sets of parts in one body, and often only one half has failed, which keeps the repair smaller than people expect.
Everything else
One number covers the whole kitchen and laundry room. If a second appliance is playing up, mention it on the same call and the technician looks at both while he is there.

Have the brand and, if you can reach it, the model number from the sticker inside the door or along the frame. It saves a phone call later and gets the right parts into the van the first time.
