Clicking but never lighting
A spark module that still fires while the igniter electrode has gone, or a burner cap sitting a fraction out of place after a clean. Both are quick to put right.
Cooktops · Georgetown, Texas
Gas, electric and induction. An igniter that sparks and never catches, or a ring that stays stone cold, is a small fault with a short repair, and neither calls for a new appliance.

Symptoms
Six of them cover most calls. Several are quick enough that the technician is in and out within the hour.
A spark module that still fires while the igniter electrode has gone, or a burner cap sitting a fraction out of place after a clean. Both are quick to put right.
On a radiant top the element or its relay has failed. The rest of the surface carrying on normally is what tells us the board itself is probably fine.
Moisture in the spark module after a spill. It is irritating rather than dangerous, and drying or replacing the module ends it.
A relay welded closed. Turn the breaker off and call the same day, because a burner stuck live is the one cooktop fault we treat as urgent.
Usually the coil or its sensor rather than your cookware, especially when the same pan worked last week on the same zone.
A blocked burner port or a gas-to-air mix out of adjustment. Easy to fix and worth doing, since a yellow flame sooties up everything above it.
Why Georgetown calls us
Cooktop faults look alarming and are usually small. Here is what the visit involves either way.
The technician diagnoses the fault, tells you what the repair costs and waits for your yes. Nothing is added to that number at the end of the visit.
You get a day and an arrival window when you book, not a vague promise about this week. If the job before yours runs long, the phone rings before your window closes.
Labor and the parts we install carry a warranty. What it runs to, and the few things it does not, are set out on the warranty page in plain language.
Front left burner clicked for a week and never lit. He changed the igniter, cleaned the ports on the other three while he was there and was gone in under an hour.

Glass top would not turn off and I had to kill the breaker to feel safe. He got here the same afternoon, put in a new relay and checked every zone twice before he left.

Tell us the brand and what it is doing. Most Georgetown visits are booked for the same day or the next one.
Service area
We work Georgetown and nothing beyond the city line, which is the whole point. A short drive means a tighter arrival window and a technician who knows whether your street is on well water or city supply before he pulls up.
ZIP codes we cover
Most Georgetown addresses sit in one of those three. Do not see your ZIP on the list? Call us anyway. The city line and the ZIP lines do not agree everywhere, and your street may well still be ours.
Questions
Gas is escaping while it clicks, so turn the knob off and leave it. It is a small repair, but it is not one to live with for a fortnight.
The glass itself is replaced rather than mended, and on some models that costs enough to be worth weighing against a new unit. We give you the figure and you decide.
Yes. Coils, sensors and control boards on induction are all repairable, and the fault is far more often the appliance than the pans you are using.
Usually. Burners, igniters and elements sit near the surface, so there is less to take apart than on an oven buried in cabinetry.
Everything else
One number covers the whole kitchen and laundry room. If a second appliance is playing up, mention it on the same call and the technician looks at both while he is there.

Have the brand and, if you can reach it, the model number from the sticker inside the door or along the frame. It saves a phone call later and gets the right parts into the van the first time.
